They're two of the biggest artists in pop music today.
And now it's been reported that Justin Bieber is eyeing a
collaboration with former One Direction star Zayn Malik after he was impressed
with the Pillowtalk singer's new sound.
According to The Sun on Sunday, the Beauty And The Beat
hitmarker wants to work with the Bradford native in the future and admires his
new single Still Got Time featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR.
An insider told the newspaper: 'Justin has been really
complimentary of Zayn’s new music
and there have been tentative discussions
about them working on something together.
'They are in touch and chatting about all sorts and getting
on like a house on fire - Justin even retweeted a link to Zayn’s single on his
Twitter which he doesn’t just do for anyone. It would be a huge collaboration
if it happened so watch this space.'
MailOnline have contacted Justin Bieber's and Zayn Malik's
reps for comment.
The news may come as a surprise to some after Zayn was name
checked by Bieber on ex Selena Gomez's Instagram after the former flames - who
dated from 2011 to 2014 - became embroiled in a word of wars.
The fiery exchange came after Justin threatened to privatize
his account after fans started trolling his then rumoured girlfriend Sofia
Richie in August 2016.
At the time, 24-year-old Selena chided Justin for even
suggesting such a drastic action before the famed duo descended into a host of
allegations, including a shock hint that Selena was previously involved with
Zayn.
Hitting back at Justin's shocking message to his fans
online, a stunned Selena wrote: 'If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting
pictures of your girlfriend lol - it should be special between you two only.
Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.'
Justin was clearly not taking the allegations lying down as
he responded: 'It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still
trying to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I'm not one for anyone
receiving hate.'
