It seems like the battle between Zayn Malik and his former
One Direction band mates has zoomed away after his Brit Award nominations were
revealed.
Why? Well, Louis Tomlinson has made himself the first to
heap praise upon Zayn, who is going directly up against the band
in the Best
Single category (despite 1D being on hiatus).
After quitting the boy band in 2015, Zayn
launched his solo career with great success in 2016 thanks to his hit single
Pillowtalk, and Louis does not seem to feel any bitterness about that.
During a recorded chat for The Brits Are Coming last
night, Louis said: ‘Zayn had an absolute smash with Pillowtalk.
‘It’s a weird feeling to see us all on our own but it’s also
nice to feel that you’ve got the support of the other lads.’
This chat is a world away from the lads’ Twitter
sparring in 2015, which included Zayn’s tweet: ‘@Louis_Tomlinson remember when
you had a life and stopped making b**chy comments about mine?’.
The death of Louis’ mum Johannah at the end of last year did
seem to herald the end of any bad feelings between him and Louis, however.
