Many artists would do anything for a Kanye West feature, but
according to Nicki Minaj, she convinced 'Ye to not appear on her "Right
Thru Me" track for her debut album, Pink Friday.
We all know how much Kanye hates the word "No," so
it was shocking when Nicki tweeted her "Blazin" fun fact claiming she
had to beg Kanye to change his mind about appearing on her track.
Kanye has praised Nicki during interviews, claiming her
"Monster" verse as one of the best on his My Beautiful Dark Twisted
Fantasy album, so we can believe he respected Minaj's wish to omit him from the
track. Although 'Ye didn't get his verse off on "Right Thru Me," he
still appeared on her Pink Friday track, "Blazin."
The Queens MC has had tremendous success since her entrance
into the music world and recently surpassed Aretha Franklin for the most
appearances by a female artist on the Billboard Hot 100. It is safe to say
Nicki knows what she's doing, even if it is turning down a Pablo feature.
