Everton Signs Henry Onyekuru In A €25million Deal

Everton have beaten Premier League rivals Arsenal and West Ham to the signing of Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru from KAS Eupen.
Arsenal and West Ham were interested in Onyekuru who scored 24 goals in 38 games last season with Belgian side Eupen.

He finished last season as the joint leading goalscorer in the Belgian Super League.
Everton completed the signing of the 20-year-old on Tuesday, June 27 and will send him on a one-year loan to Anderlecht.
Everton do not think Onyekuru is ready for the Premier League but are confident that a year with Anderlecht who are playing in the Champions League will be beneficial to the forward.
Onyekuru underwent medicals at Everton’s Finch Farm training base on Monday, June 26 and agreed personal terms with the club.
Born in Onitsha, the 20-year-old started his career at Aspire Foundation who discovered him and took him to Europe.
In 2016 he joined Eupen in Belgium first division where his performances caught the eye.
He is Everton’s third signing of the summer following their record-breaking signing of £30million goalkeeper Jordan Pickford from Sunderland.
They splashed £25million on Davy Klaassen from Ajax and are on the verge of completing the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Malaga.
Ronald Koeman is still after his prime summer target Gylfi Sigurdsson and Burnley defender Michael Keane.
