David Guetta & Justin Bieber Start Inside The Top 10, While 'Despacito' Holds At No. 1 In The U.K.

Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, their newfound friend (of sorts) are steady at No. 1 on the British singles tally with their smash success “Despacito” this week. The Spanish/English single has now led the way for six weeks in a row, and it could continue for several to come, unless Ariana Grande finally breaks free and makes it all the way to the top.

The pop singer’s 2015 single “One Last Time” has experienced a resurgence on the U.K. charts in the aftermath of the terrorist attack at her Manchester concert a few weeks back. The song, which was originally something of a mild hit, has now worked itself all the way to No. 2, held back from becoming her third chart-topper by “Despacito.”

Up to No. 3, a new high point, is “Unforgettable,” the latest offering from rapper French Montana. The song, which features Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, has become a true hit across the pond, and it’s on its way to doing the same in the U.S., where Montana is arguably an even bigger star.

Former One Direction member Liam Payne and Quavo are non-movers this week with their collaborative cut “Strip The Down,” which is the first solo outing for the former. It has thus far peaked at No. 3.

New to the tally at No. 5 is “2U,” an especially hard electronic single from David Guetta. The track benefits heavily from a Justin Bieber feature, which should also help it perform well in the United States, at least initially. "2U" is expected to be featured on an upcoming Guetta album that could arrive later this year. The club-ready tune is top 10 hit No. 23 for Guetta, while Bieber collects his fourteenth.

Steady at No. 6 is Jonas Blue’s “Mama,” which features vocals by William Singe.
