After being linked with Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp’s appointment at Anfield, Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly frontrunners to sign Mario Gotze.
According to Bild over in Germany, the forward wants to quit Bayern Munich, where he’s failed to make himself a first-team regular. And his current options are former side Borussia Dortmund and Spurs.
Liverpool fans, despite previously appearing keen on Gotze, have now turned on the 24-year-old for the perceived snub.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side can offer Champions League football, which the Reds can’t, and this very likely may persuade the player to opt for London over Merseyside.
