Drake won the Top Billboard 200 Album award for Views at the
2017 Billboard Music Awards, and his speech included a fan message to his rival Ludacris. "I know we haven't always seen eye-to-eye but I've
always been a big fan of yours, man, I got a lot of love for you," he
said. "I wanna let you know that while I'm still here."
However, Ludacris revealed in a new interview with the New
York Daily News that Drake had reached out to him before the speech. "We had a
conversation before he even did that," he said, confirming that
"everything is good" between the two.
The beef between the two rappers started in 2010 when Drake
claimed to have perfected rap's "punchline" style flow, and used a
Ludacris lyric from "My Chick Bad" as an example of a corny
punchline. Ludacris responded to Drake in the diss track "Bada Boom."
