Clue-minati returns. Tapping Future and Tru Life, DJ Clue unleashes “Last Night,” a trap-inspired banger produced by Myles William.
Following Hndrxx’s infectious hook, Tru Life kicks off the first verse. He references Rick Ross’ “Trap Trap Trap,” before calling back to Pluto’s Metro Boomin drop. “If you a real hustler, I’ll recruit ya,” he raps. “But if Future don’t trust ya, I’ma shoot ya.”
Singing about bodies being caught, Hndrxx continues with an Auto-Tuned verse. “Hundred shots, let ’em loose,” he raps. “Call the goons, let ’em loose / Get the tool, let it loose / Let it loose, let it loose.”
DJ Clue has had a storied career. In 1998, the legendary New York DJ released his debut album, The Professional, which featured Diddy, DMX, Cam’ron, Big Pun, N.O.R.E., and Canibus.
That tradition continued with 2001’s The Professional 2 and 2006’s The Professional 3, star-studded efforts that featured Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, and Method Man. The latter project was Clue’s last full-length album.
