Millie Bobby Brown is a household name thanks to her role in “Stranger Things,” which means she has a lot of fans — and haters.
The 14-year-old actress recently
responded to several social media critics who told her to “act her age” on Instagram after she posted a photo of herself wearing a skintight snakeskin dress.
“You look like you’re playing in your mother’s clothes,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Don’t be in such a hurry to grow – enjoy being a kid cause it doesn’t last long.”
In a now-deleted Instagram Story, per People, Brown issued her response: “ik everyone on my last pic wants me to ‘act my age’ but quite frankly its my instagram and if I choose to post that picture and you don’t like it … scroll past it.” She later added a quote: “If we could spread love as quickly as we spread hate and negativity, what an amazing world we would live in.”
Fans responded by flooding Brown’s comments with support. “How about you all act YOUR age and stop bullying a 14 year old child. She looks lovely,” one supporter posted. “Wow! Millie, beautiful as always. And in heels!,” her “Stranger Things” co-star Cara Buono added.
Even Brown’s ex-boyfriend Jacob Sartorious commented: “Stunning,” he wrote with a heart.
