MISSOULA, Mont. - UPDATE: State officials canceled the Amber Alert for missing children Owen and Kayliana Watne. The children were found safe by Montana Highway Patrol.
State officials issued an Amber Alert Friday night for two Missoula children believed to be in danger and taken by their noncustodial father.
The alert says Walter Watne, 34, took his 9-year-old son Owen and 11-year-old daughter Kayliana from a guardian. They may be headed to Butte via Interstate 90 from Missoula.
Be on the lookout for a green 2003 Subaru Legacy wagon with Montana license plate BXE278.
Walter Watne is white, 5-foot-6, 142 pounds with green eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
Owen Watne is 4 feet tall, 60 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Kayliana Watne is 4-foot-11, 90 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
