The hottest June on record doesn’t sound like the most obvious time to want to be playing video games (unless you’re in an air-conditioned office, in which case you’ll never want to leave) but the summer sale on Steam is about to hit anyway.
The sale is scheduled to start at 6pm BST today and although there’s no official end date yet the best guess is that it’ll run until Wednesday, July 5.
Despite the summer not traditionally being a big time for games this is usually the largest of Steam’s various seasonal sales, although we won’t know exactly what deals are available until it actually starts.
There’s always plenty of other deals and special offers going on with Steam, but if you miss this sale then the next big one won’t be until Halloween in October.
