Ellen DeGeneres is not trying to “save her marriage” to Portia de Rossi, despite a new report, because the couple’s marriage simply isn’t in need of saving. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.
Unfortunately, the repeatedly discredited RadarOnline is once again creating nonexistent problems between the happy spouses. On Friday, the webloid published an article claiming DeGeneres
is in a desperate plea to save her and de Rossi from the verge of divorce. “The two of them are not in a good place in their relationship right now,” a supposed “source” tells the site.
The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “Ellen is trying everything she can to keep Portia from running. She has been buying her elaborate gifts and recently splurged on this huge vacation to the South Pacific for just the two of them, but Portia did not want to go.” The site’s seemingly phony source goes on to allege DeGeneres has a drinking problem, which is one of the issues causing a rift in their marriage.
Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly debunked bogus reports about the spouses’ relationship being in trouble, so we were hesitant to believe this latest claim. Our doubts were confirmed after checking in with a mutual friend of ours and the couple, who exclusively assures us their marriage is going strong. This is simply a non-story.
Just this past week, Gossip Cop called out RadarOnline for wrongly reporting DeGeneres went on a date with a “mystery brunette” behind her wife’s back. Shortly before that nonsense, we debunked the webloid’s story alleging DeGeneres and de Rossi were having a baby to save their marriage. This latest article is simply more lies about the couple.
